The 2022 Bangladesh Demographic and Health Survey (2022 BDHS) is the ninth national survey to report on the demographic and health conditions of women and their families in Bangladesh. The survey was conducted under the authority of the National Institute of Population Research and Training (NIPORT), Medical Education and Family Welfare Division, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW), Government of Bangladesh. Financial assistance was provided jointly by the Government of Bangladesh and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). This Key Indicators Report presents a first look at selected findings from the 2022 BDHS. Although the data in the final report is not expected to differ substantially from the findings presented here, the results should be regarded as provisional and subject to modification. The primary objective of the 2022 BDHS is to provide up-to-date estimates of basic demographic and health indicators.
