National Guidelines for Prevention of Dengue and other Mosquito-borne Diseases

Approval Date: August 2021
Dengue outbreaks are thought to occur during the rainy season when the breeding of Aedes mosquitoes increases. Although common, in light of the past few years of experience, it can be seen that if there is a suitable environment, the propagation of this mosquito occurs at any time of the year, and dengue outbreaks occur. For that, it is necessary to implement a year-round program to prevent dengue. To protect the people of this country from dengue disease, coordinated and effective participation of local government departments, other ministries and departments of government, public and private organizations, the media, and representatives of civil society is necessary. It is possible to prevent mosquito-borne dengue disease only by creating widespread public awareness through the initiative of local government institutions under the jurisdiction of the local government department. For this purpose, the local government department has published national guidelines for preventing dengue and other mosquito-borne diseases. These guidelines will apply to all local government institutions and stakeholders.
